Always read the publication's guidelines before you submit materials. Some editors have complained that too many people fail to read what they have said, sending long poems when short are desired, or short when long are desired..... It is also helpful to purchase a sample copy and study of the magazine to determine whether your material would have a fit with the other material published.

The websites of some of those listed confirm that the publshers allow electronic submissions. I have queried all of the others to confirm that they do. See also:

Note: Since creating this site in July 1996, I have continually added and removed publishers. If email to one of these bounces, please alert me. Help me keep this list as current as possible.

I do not approve of entry fees and reading fees. Please notify me of any publication below that requires them, and I will suspend the entry. Publishers should publish, not require the writers to provide the fees. This greatly reduces the publishers' incentive to be real publishers, i.e., to find the readers for what the writers write.

Vanity is vanity. Anyone who requires reading fees or entry fees is running a vanity press. I realize that those who do have some distinguished company, but it is vanity nevertheless.
