September 2 – October 30, 2008
Opening reception Thursday September 11th, 5pm – 7pm
One part of Weld’s practice is orientated around a desire to create unexpected juxtapositions between both surfaces and objects. This exhibition will feature a combination of new and unseen works from the artist’s studio, as well of some of her iconic paintings from recent years. The emphasis of this exhibition is to give a sense of the scope of her practice, and her embrace of many media forms to communicate thoughts on post-modernism and contemporary abstraction.
