Description: Orange County, California asked Gartner Consulting to investigate best practices in county e-government. Criteria for selecting best practices was: innovation and use of web-based online technology to deliver government services, efficiency or time saved, ability to perform transactions, economic benefits or money saved, functionality, ease of use and improved access, participation of multiple government sectors, seamless service delivery, customer centricity, privacy and security, leveraged partnerships, and ease of replication. As a result, six best practices were selected: Marion County(Indiana), Fairfax County(Virginia), Montgomery County(Maryland), Maric0pa County(Arizona), Broward County(Florida), Dallas County(Texas).
