    The major collections of plain electronic texts are available online at the Oxford Text Archive, Wiretap, Virginia Tech (Eris), and the Gutenberg Project. Electronic texts marked up for HTML and SGML are available online at the Virginia Electronic Text Center project and Michigan Humanities Text Initiative. Publications on CD ROM include the Word Cruncher Disc 1 (Library of America), the TACT Manual (MLA, 1996), the Gutenberg Project, the Library of the Future, and American Poets of the 19th Centuyr. Indexes and bibliographies for electronic texts are maintained at sites for Alex, CMU, Encyclopedia Britannica, Internet Public Library, Library of Congress, Louisiana State U., and OTA (Bookstack).
