Solutionsoft ships WordToWeb
Microsoft Word add-in automatically converts documents to
fully-formatted, linked HTML publications.

SUNNYVALE, CA--Solutionsoft today announced that it is
shipping WordToWeb, an add-in to Microsoft® Word 95 or 97 which fully
automates the conversion of Word documents to linked HTML pages.

WordToWeb provides an intuitive wizard interface which makes it easy for
any Word user to produce sophisticated HTML publications. WordToWeb can
convert multiple Word documents to HTML and link them together into a
single online publication and can also break long Word documents into a
series of smaller linked pages.

WordToWeb goes beyond simple conversion and automates tasks which might
take many hours using an interactive HTML editor. Examples include
setting
HTML page properties such as background color or graphic for each page,
inserting navigation buttons to link pages together and adding a
"signature" with contact information and/or date stamp to each page. In
addition, WordToWeb will automatically generate a table of contents as
well
as an online index (based on Word index entries in the source
documents).

WordToWeb automatically converts Word graphics to GIF format and can
optionally generate "thumbnail" links for large graphics in order to
minimize page download time. Users can also easily create online
publications which display the table of contents and/or index in frames
for
easy navigation.

"While other Word-based utilities, such as Microsoft's Internet
Assistant,
provide basic conversion capability, WordToWeb is the first add-in tool
to
completely automate the publishing process. Because the translation to
HTML is fast, easy and complete, WordToWeb is ideal for maintaining Word
documents which will serve as a single source for both printed and
online
information."

WordToWeb also supports project templates--a feature which makes it easy
to use the formatting choices for an HTML publication as the basis for
future work . Project templates are especially useful in multi-user
environments. The webmaster or project leader can create a project
template
which conforms to an organization's website or intranet formatting
guidelines and then distribute it--making it easy for any user to
produce
completely formatted, linked pages which are ready to post on the
server.
WordToWeb also includes a number of standard project templates, so users
can quickly create sophisticated HTML publications.
