ANNOUNCING:

I M P R I N T

The Newsletter of Digital Typography

imprint@macline.com

IMPRINT is a free newsletter devoted to digital typography and
typesetting, distributed approximately monthly. It is free
via e-mail only for the present. Among the topics covered are:

- LANGUAGES: TeX, LaTeX, Troff(1), Scribe, PostScript, SGML,
and HTML -- though the primary focus will be print
publication, rather than electronic publication. Your tips,
macros, code snippets, and questions are welcome.

- SOFTWARE: Groff(1), teTeX, OzTeX, MikTeX, ghostscript,
metafont, Acrobat, PSNFSS, BibTeX, Rcs(1), emacsen and vii
-- the installation, use, and maintenance of software
devoted to typesetting, typographical imaging, and document
management and preparation.

- HARDWARE: Announcements, tips, howto's... anything that
might be of interest to your colleagues.

- BOOKS: If you've read a helpful book lately, let us know
about it, or consider sending a brief review.

- CONFERENCES: If something's happening in your neck of the
woods, announce it here.

- PRODUCTS and SERVICES: Send us brief announcements of new
releases so we can tell others about them.

- QUESTIONS and COMMENTS: If you have a gripe or need an
answer, we'll provide the forum so you can get the word out.

The field of digital typography is a big one, and no single
person can cover the range and scope of the subject. We're
looking to YOU to help share your expertise and experience
with others on the 'Net.

The first issue of IMPRINT should be mailed in the second
half of April, 1997. Please send all queries, submissions,
comments, and subscription requests to:

imprint@macline.com

Please include IMPRINT in the subject line, and a brief,
human-readable message.
