The PA Highlands Land Conservation and Trails Tracking System allows users to view statistics and acquisitions for protected lands within the PA Highlands. Information on trails is also available. The protected lands are organized into federal, state, municipal and privately conserved lands through fee or easement. The directory features the number of acres conserved; percentage of the municipality that is protected; and a list of trails and trail mileage found within the county/municipality.
The protected lands data was derived from: public data files located on PASDA; purchased from county planning commission or shared by a conservation organization. However, the protected lands data is not fully complete due to copyright restrictions or not being available in a digital format. Because the protection of lands and trail development are constantly evolving, please understand that the information on this website will also change. Please make sure to check other sources and the internet for the most current information.
