John Dussinger

John Dussinger is Professor of English at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) and the author or editor of several books and many articles and reviews on eighteenth-century and early nineteenth-century authors, ranging from Swift, Shaftesbury, and Richardson, to Sterne, Goldsmith, Johnson, Hester Piozzi, Mary Shelley, and Austen. He has written the article on Richardson for the New Dictionary of National Biography and has under consideration a long article on Richardson's anonymous contributions to the journals that he printed. Currently, he is working together with Tom Keymer, Peter Sabor, and Albert Rivero on the first scholarly edition of Richardson's complete correspondence.
