Charles W. A. Prior

Charles W. A. Prior holds a Ph.D. in early modern British history from Queen's University at Kingston. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the International Study Centre at Herstmonceux Castle, and is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Faculty of History in the University of Cambridge. He is editor of Mandeville and Augustan Ideas, and is frequently called upon to review books and article manuscripts on Mandeville, in whom he maintains an interest. He has a forthcoming book, Defining the Jacobean Church: the Politics of Religious Controversy, 1603-1625 (Cambridge Univ. Press, 2005).
