Richard B. Sher

Richard B. Sher is Distinguished Professor of History at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and NJIT Chair of the federated history department of NJIT and Rutgers University -- Newark. He is the founding executive secretary of the Eighteenth-Century Scottish Studies Society and author of works on the Scottish Enlightenment and the Enlightenment book trade. He is now at work on The Enlightenment and the Book: The Scottish Appropriation of Print Culture, 1750-1800.
