Eleanor Ty

Eleanor Ty is Professor of English at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada. Author of Empowering the Feminine: The Narratives of Mary Robinson, Jane West, and Amelia Opie, 1798-1810 (Univ. of Toronto Press, 1998) and Unsex'd Revolutionaries: Five Women Novelists of the 1790s (Univ. of Toronto Press, 1993), she has edited Memoirs of Emma Courtney (Oxford, 1996, 2000) and The Victim of Prejudice (1994, 1998) by Mary Hays. She has published essays on ethnic writers Michael Ondaatje, Amy Tan, Jamaica Kincaid, Joy Kogawa, and on Miss Saigon and reading romances. Currently, she is working on Asian North American narratives.
