The Diocese of Eastern Michigan split off from the Diocese of
Michigan in the middle of the decade. The combined total of both in 2003
(30,505) is an increase of 9.6% in communicants over the total for the Diocese of Michigan
in 1993. for an estimated rank of 68. I have let the two dioceses share the same rank.
The Parochial Reports Office of General Convention provides me with this data.
Although Eastern Michigan was not a diocese in 1993, the Office has
calculated attendance of those parishes that became a part of that diocese when it was
created in 1995. Data here for the Diocese of Michigan in 1993 reflects
only those parishes that remained in that dicoese in 2003.

The Parochial Reports Office of General Convention provided me with the data Average Sunday Attendance Data for the years before that information was published in the Episcopal Church Annual.
I culled communicant data from The Episcopal Church Annual for all years reported. The Annual reports data for two years earlier, i.e., the 2005 Annual reports data for 2003.
Data for Province 9 is likely not trustworthy before 2003, as only then did those dioceses start filing parochial reports as required by the canons. For earlier years the General Convention Office published estimates only, the same estimates for many years for each diocese.
Please sign my guestbook and
view it.
