Louie Crew's Tricks:Opening two accounts at once from home

Opening two accounts at once from home

While in pegasus you can get back to the engelhard> prompt if you
hold down the key, the key and the <^> [i.e., above the number
'6'] and then release and type a small 'x' Back at engelhard> you can
log onto another account (or log again onto the same again), still keeping
open your first log.

Use the same combination to get back to engelhard> from any application.

At engelhard>, type WHERE to see all of your connections open at any one
time. Then type the number of the connection (shown on the screen)
to resume that application.

You can even do this while in the midst of writing a message! I just
tried it.

And yes, I just went to the LIBRARY while writing this message, found
something I wanted, and returned.

Sample use: Suppose you are in telnet using a library in California and
remember that you have some information in a file on your andromeda
account which you need in the telnet session. Simply shell out, open
a second session of andromeda, find your information, shell back to
engelhard>, reconnect to the telnet library session...

And if you change your mind in mid-stream and want to log
back on to your original connection before opening up a
new one, just hit the key.
