[Date Prev][Date Next][Date Index] Chiron Review open for submissions Dec. 1
Hello, On Dec. 1, 2007, Chiron Review will re-open for submissions, with an eye toward a spring issue, March 20, 2008. Writers are invited to send up to six poems, or one short-story. We're also open to reviews, interviews, black and white art and photography, and essays of interest to writers and the small press literary community. Gerald Locklin and his son Zachary Locklin will edit poetry. Ray Zepeda and John Brantingham will edit fiction. I hope CR readers and writers will forgive me for shutting down and then starting back up again. Chiron Review has always flown along on a wing and a prayer, had its delays and hiatuses, stopping and starting as finances and circumstances dictated. I do apologize for that and can offer no guarantees for the future. Chiron Review readers and writers have always gone above and beyond the call of duty to support the magazine and to spread the word. I hope you will continue that tradition now. On Dec. 1, 2007, snail-mail submissions should be sent, with SASE to Chiron Review, 522 E. South Ave., St. John, KS 67576-2212. On Dec. 1, 2007, or after, e-mail submissions should be sent to ChironSubmissions@hotmail.com. Put all poems in the e-mail text or as ONE attachment, not one attachment for each poem, please. Floppy disk and CD submissions in Rich Text Format (RTF) are also welcome. Photographs and art may only be submitted via snail-mail. I'd also like to exchange subscriptions with other magazines and receive review copies of small press books and magazines for review and listing in my "News, Etc." column. They can be sent to the address above. Subscriptions and donations are welcome anytime, and will help me get Chiron Review back off the ground. A one-year/four issue subscription is $16. The "Triple S" discount is offered to Seniors, Students and Starving Artists. Don't be afraid to ask about it. And of course, those who are able and wish to provide more support than $16 a year are most welcome to do so. I look forward to hearing from you.
