Copies of naturalizations by court action or statute for all New Jersey counties from the 1600s to about 1830 are also available from the New Jersey State Archives in Trenton. The State Archives also have copies of Burlington, Camden, Mercer, and Union county naturalizations from about 1830 to 1906.
The Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) has duplicate records of all naturalizations that occurred after September 26, 1906. The INS has an index to their naturalization certificate files (C-Files), and can retrieve individual records based on name, date of birth, and place of birth.
