LexisNexis Academic
"News" section indexes and provides access to a large collection of U.S. and international newspapers, newsletters, wire service reports, transcripts of television and radio news broadcasts, and student newspapers. Includes Foreign Language Newspapers, and full-text coverage of the New York Times from June 1, 1980 to the present. Restricted Access.

Official Index to the Financial Times. 1982- . Monthly with annual cumulation.
Index to the London Financial Times with listings by country, personal and corporate name, and subject. (DANA REF Index Table G). Dana Library has the Financial Times on microfilm back to 1978. Full text articles from the Financial Times back to 1988 are also available on factiva.

International Data Base (IDB) Summary Demographic Data
Demographic and socio-economic statistics for 227 countries and areas of the world. Combines data from country sources with the U.S. Census Bureau's International Programs Center's estimates and projections.

International Trade Centre (ITC) Country Statistics
"Trade and market profiles based on trade statistics which benchmark national trade performance and provide indicators on export supply and import demand."

Political Database of the Americas
Search or browse thematically arranged reference materials, primary documents, comparative studies and statistical data for countries in the Western Hemisphere. World Development Reports
Annual reports from the World Bank; each report provides in depth analysis of a specific aspect of development.

Human Development Reports
Annual report assessing the long-term level of well-being. Each report focuses on a specific aspect of the current development debate. Report commissioned by the United Nations Development Programme.

Foreign Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean
Annual report from the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Excellent resource developed by members of the Sociology Department, Emory University.

The Debate on Globalization

Globalization
Policy briefs, working papers, and speeches from the Institute for International Economics, a "private, nonprofit, nonpartisan research institution devoted to the study of international economic policy."

International Forum on Globalization
The goal of the IFG is to "(1) Expose the multiple effects of economic globalization in order to stimulate debate, and (2) Seek to reverse the globalization process by encouraging ideas and activities which revitalize local economies and communities, and ensure long term ecological stability." Includes links to anti-globalization news stories and analyses.
