Rutgers University Libraries Requesting Books From Other Rutgers Libraries

If a book that you need is not available at the Dana Library but is available at another Rutgers Library, you can request delivery of that book to Dana.

The IRIS record for this title shows that the Dana copy is checked out, but that the Robeson Library (Camden) copy is available. To request that the Robeson copy be sent to Newark, the click on the button to the left of the book information.

Enter:

  • Your barcode
  • [14-digit number on the back of your ID]
  • Your Library PIN
  • [4-digit number issued you by the Libraries]
  • Select DANA as the delivery site
  • Click on "Deliver/Recall Book"

  • Books are generally received within 3 to 4 working days; the book will be held for you at the Dana Circulation Desk.

If you have never registered your barcode with the Libraries or have forgotten your PIN, you can register or get your PIN immediately by stopping at, or calling [973/353-5161] the Dana Circulation Desk. Or you place an online request.
