"Brackett's Landing Park South"

The City of Edmonds, Washington, won for its physical realization and

construction of a city landmark, "Brackett's Landing Park South." Through a

partnership with the Snohomish County Conservation Futures Funds, the city

was able to restore the growth of native plants and driftwood, lawn-covered

hills, and such man-made complements as log benches and wooden foot bridges.

The park has been returned to its natural state as seen by George Brackett

when he first landed in 1870.
