OISS is the central office that administers the J-1 program for Rutgers University Newark. We assist academic departments in inviting Exchange Visitors by issuing DS-2019 for Exchange Visitors to obtain J-1 visa to arrive at Rutgers University Newark. OISS supports students and scholars who hold J-1 visa by providing advising services before arrival to campus and during student’s stay at the university.
