Nominal mass measurements

Nominal mass of a compound is the mass of the most abundant constituent element isotope of each element rounded to the nearest integer value and multiplied by the number of atoms of each element.

Nominal mass cannot be used to calculate the elemental composition of a compound.

All our mass spectrometers can be used to measure nominal mass.
