Dr. Kirchhoff's research has been published in Public Productivity and Management Review, Journal of Health and Human Services Administration, and Journal of Public Affairs and Education, and she has prepared policy analyses for the National Federation of Independent Business, the New Jersey State Legislature, and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment in the Netherlands, among others.
In her pre-academic career, Dr. Kirchhoff served as policy and planning director for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, as a consultant to public and private Health and social service agencies and service delivery organizations, and as an assistant to elected officials responsible for public sector Health and social service policies in a five county region of Nebraska . She has served on the boards of directors of community-based organizations and as a politically appointed member of citizen advisory committees to local governments. She also has been a news reporter for the Orlando (Florida) Sentinel-Star and an information specialist for the Army-Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) in the Philippines. |
