Overview of Program

The School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers–Newark is pleased to announce that it is accepting nominations for the Executive Master in Public Administration (MPA) program. The MPA prepares seasoned managers, who have at least six years of public or nonprofit experience, for executive leadership roles. Students in the program are provided with a strong knowledge base in the most up-to-date public management systems, empowering them to increase the effectiveness and success of the governmental and nonprofit organizations in which they serve.

Courses include Analytical Methods, Strategic Planning, Human Resource Administration, Research Design, Political Economy, Ethics, Leadership, and Government Budgeting, among others. The National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration accredits the Rutgers MPA program. All courses in the program are scheduled so as to limit disruption to the workweek and to allow for earning of MPA in the shortest time span possible.
