Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) - Council of Europe
GRECO evaluation procedures involve the collection of information through questionnaire(s), on-site country visits enabling evaluation teams to solicit further information during high-level discussions with domestic key players, and drafting of evaluation reports. These reports, which are examined and adopted by GRECO, contain recommendations to the evaluated countries in order to improve their level of compliance with the provisions under consideration. Measures taken to implement recommendations are subsequently assessed by GRECO under a separate compliance procedure (website)
The Council of Europe’s Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) has published its Third Round Evaluation Report on Azerbijan Republic. The report has been made public with the agreement of the country’s authorities. It focuses on two distinct themes: criminalization of corruption and transparency of party funding.
Annual Reports to Congress on Human Rights Practices - Azerbaijan Republic
These reports, produced by the U.S. Department of State, to the U.S. Congress. The law provides that the Secretary of State shall transmit a "full and complete report regarding the status of internationally recognized human rights, within the meaning of subsection (A) in countries that receive assistance under this part, and (B) in all other foreign countries which are members of the United Nations and which are not otherwise the subject of a human rights report under this Act." Reports on several countries are included that do not fall into the categories established by these statutes and that thus are not covered by the congressional requirement. These reports, produced by the U.S. Department of State, describe the status of religious freedom in Azerbijan Republic, government policies violating religious belief and practices of groups, religious denominations, and individuals, and U.S. policies to promote religious freedom around the world. It is submitted in compliance with the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 (website).
