Annual Reports to Congress on Human Rights Practices - Kosovo
These reports, produced by the U.S. Department of State, to the U.S. Congress. The law provides that the Secretary of State shall transmit a "full and complete report regarding the status of internationally recognized human rights, within the meaning of subsection (A) in countries that receive assistance under this part, and (B) in all other foreign countries which are members of the United Nations and which are not otherwise the subject of a human rights report under this Act." Reports on several countries are included that do not fall into the categories established by these statutes and that thus are not covered by the congressional requirement. These reports, produced by the U.S. Department of State, describe the status of religious freedom in Kosovo, government policies violating religious belief and practices of groups, religious denominations, and individuals, and U.S. policies to promote religious freedom around the world. It is submitted in compliance with the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998.
Justice for Children: Juvenile Crime and Juvenile Justice Practice in Kosovo
"This report presents research findings from a study of the juvenile justice system in Kosovo. The aims of the study were to collect baseline data in order to analyse the rate and nature of juvenile1 offending in Kosovo; to undertake a thorough analysis of the implementation of the juvenile justice system in Kosovo, and in particular, the implementation of the Juvenile Justice Code 2004 (JJC); and to provide recommendations on how the juvenile justice system could be strengthened."
