III. Evaluation
There are five broad categories used in evaluating a web site. Use these criteria when evaluating the sites listed below the five categories.
Authority – Who is the author, editor, publisher?
Accuracy – How does it compare with other sources?
Bias, Objectivity or Point of View – Where is the writer ‘coming from’? Look for selection criteria.
Currency – Is the age of the material appropriate to your subject?
Coverage – What does it include? What does it leave out?
